Completed Project | Barn Conversion

We are so pleased to be able to share the images of our recently completed barn conversion in the Norfolk countryside.

Set in beautiful countryside, the owners wanted to create a modern space to be used as a holiday rental, or for guests and family.

By converting their barn they’ve succeeded in creating a stunning contemporary space which will adapt as their needs change over time.

This four bedroom, single storey barn features herringbone tiled floor throughout, boutique style bathrooms and a smart home system.

The exterior is just as stylish with the clean lines of Siberian larch cladding and aluminium windows.

This was a great project to be part of, if you have a similar conversion you’d like to speak to us about, why not give our team a call on 01263 587940.

New Build Home | Blakeney – New Project

We have started a new build home project in beautiful Blakeney and it’s a beauty.

The first step was to demolish the previous house and now complete, groundworks are steaming ahead.

This beautiful design will be brought to life as a bespoke five bedroom detached home. It will include highly desirable features such as a study leading out onto a balcony and a master suite with dressing room and en-suite.

How a house relates to it’s surroundings is always a consideration when designing a new home. Blakeney is a beautiful coastal village in North Norfolk, and it was important to the client that the house blends in seamlessly with older properties in the area whilst still being contemporary in style. So, the exterior of this new build home will comprise of red brick, flint cobble and natural timber boarding. This visually creates a contemporary dwelling in keeping with its stunning location.

We are looking forward to keeping you up to date with the progress here

Completed | Extension & Renovation

We recently handed over this stunning farmhouse to it’s owners, following a successful two storey extension and full renovation.

The original part of the house dates back to the 18th century and Overton Limited helped the owners seamlessly blend contemporary design with the history of the farmhouse.

This included a modern kitchen set under a beautiful vaulted ceiling and hotel style bathrooms.

Excellent work from the team all pulling together to ensure the house was ready for moving in day.

Overton starts accepting Bitcoin as payment

We are excited to announce we will be accepting Bitcoin as part of our innovative vision for the future of our Norfolk building company Overton Limited.

Bitcoin is a decentralised digital currency, also known as cryptocurrency, which allows peer to peer transactions to take place worldwide, without an intermediary such as a bank. A bitcoin – currently worth more than £39,000 each – is a currency stored in a digital wallet.

Adam Overton, director of Overton Limited explains why we are taking this pioneering approach.

“In recent years there has been significant growth in the use of cryptocurrency worldwide, not just as investments, but for purchasing product and services too. I believe that by being among the first to open up this new payment channel to our clients it demonstrates how motivated we are to responding to the market and continuing our own growth as a company as we’ll be ahead of the curve.”

“We work a lot in north Norfolk with people moving out of London and I think there are more people down there who invested in it early on. They might not necessarily want their Bitcoin just sitting in their digital wallet and increasingly it will be used more transactionally.”

“There are many advantages of using cryptocurrency for the construction industry and our clients,” added Adam. “Established payment systems are slow and expensive, whereas a cryptocurrency transaction can be complete in seconds. The transparent nature of cryptocurrency is also an appeal to many. It’s exciting to us to embrace this new technology. You can buy a car in Bitcoin, so why not a house and renovations?”

With an office based in historic Heydon, a growing support team and projects spanning the width and breadth of Norfolk, we are looking forward to the future.

Adam continued “Norfolk holds an eternal appeal, with many people wanting to live here; be it to relocate, retire or renovate. The slower pace of life is what draws many people here, but we aren’t planning on standing still.”
